About 9:30AM, October 4, in Beijing, several hundreds of copies of Dafa leaflets exposing the crimes of Jiang Zemin and explaining the truth of Falun Gong drifted down from the sky above the towering Xindongan Market. The pedestrians rushed to read the leaflets. A policeman came in a hurry, holding tightly in his hands, several leaflets snatched from the tourists for fear that these leaflets would fly away. Don't be afraid, this is the voice of the truth, please read carefully, and give yourself a chance for the future, one that is afraid of the truth must be evil. Please be awakened! Do not help a tyrant to do evil, there are Dafa practitioners in all parts of China, there are Falun Dafa practitioners in every building in Beijing. The people are the boundless sea; there is only one fate for the wicked people, complete destruction. October, 3, banners displaying "Truthfulness, Benevolence, Forbearance", and "Falun Dafa is Good" appeared on a main street and the streets in front of the Public Security Bureau, the Appeals Bureau and the Committee of Physical Education of Changchun City. These buildings have been heavily guarded as if faced with a formidable enemy. This attracted many pedestrians and residents. People exclaimed: " Falun Gong has come down from heaven!"
Those "loyal" lackeys of Jiang Zemin are all crestfallen: How can they report this situation to their boss? However, our fellow practitioners are all safe and sound among the tide of the crowd. Master's mighty power assimilates into "Validate the Fa with reason, clarify the truth with wisdom".
Also, it was heard that in the First Exhibition of Chinese Calligraphy of Changchun, there was a work of art that caught many people's attention. This was a masterpiece of the three characters of "Truthfulness, Benevolence, Forbearance", written by a non-practitioner! Despite Jiang Zemin's brutal suppression on Falun Gong, today, in master's home town, " Truthfulness, Benevolence, Forbearance" has nobly become the Chinese treasure, shining with boundless radiance. [Chongzhou] Falun Gong practitioners gave people of Chongzhou a magnificent gift on National Day
This year, the National Day of Chongzhou, Sichuan Province is different from that in past years. In the very early morning of "October 1", people found that there were public notices from all the Dafa practitioners in China using "Truthfulness, Benevolence, Forbearance" to condemn Jiang Zemin who is the chief designer of the persecution against Falun Gong. The public notice of "Warnings to Jiang Zemin: Do not act recklessly and bring shame to the Chinese nation" appeared on the streets, government offices, postal kiosks, IC card kiosks, radio and TV stations, stores, electric poles, bus stations, recreational places and other eye-catching places in Chongzhou.
Because the public notice was printed in a special manner, people had to come very close to read it, inadvertently adding more suspense, which resulted in more people coming to read. People began to comment on it. Some people said that Falun Gong is so brave, and said what they wanted to say. Some people said that Jiang Zemin should have left the office long ago, that he made the number of layoff workers bigger and bigger, and workers are becoming more and more pitiful. Some people even said, "Jiang Zemin only dared to persecute the 'won't fight back when beaten or sworn at' Falun Gong practitioners because they are too nice and easily taken advantage of." Just like as us peasants, who are simple minded and also easy to be taken advantage of. Therefore, all kinds of taxes are imposed on us.
[Chongqing] Pamphlets reading "The historical responsibilities that cannot be shrugged off by Jiang Zemin" appeared simultaneously in major urban districts of Chongqing
Inspired by the "heroic undertaking in Beijing" on September 20, in the early morning hours of October 4, Dafa practitioners in Chongqing stepped forward resolutely and engaged in an all-participating activity of validating Dafa. Within major urban districts of Chongqing, in all large streets and small lanes, residential complexes, bus stops and platforms, phone booths, advertising bulletin boards, pedestrian overpasses, parks, entertainment and leisure sites, newspaper stands, and on electric poles, over 10,000 copies of the article "The historical responsibilities that cannot be shrugged off by Jiang Zemin" were pasted.
The geographical coverage of this Hongfa activity is very broad, including Yuzhong District, Jiangbei District, Shapingbei District, Jiulongpo District, Dadukow District, Gaoxin District, Nan'an District, the urban area of Banan District, and Hechuan County, Jiangjin County, and subsidiary counties. It was witnessed that until noon, along major streets in major urban districts, crowds of people were attentively reading posters that remained Comments like "Falun Gong is very bold", "Falun Gong is very brave", and "Jiang Zemin's days will not last long" were heard. Most poster were torn down by local police and local authority by 9:00 AM or so. What is interesting is that among those torn off, some articles had only the title missing with the contents remaining, while some with contents mostly torn away had the titles preserved. This indicated that conscience still remains in those local police and authority that are "counting the clock with respect to giving genuine effort to the work".
This all-participating activity started with smooth execution and ended with complete success. Except for two practitioners being arrested (Zheng Tongrong, female; Zhou Jinghua, female), all other participants returned home safe and sound.
Chongqing Dafa practitioners
[Beijing] The heroic undertaking of a female practitioner in Beijing
Early morning of October 3, 2000, it began to drizzle. A female Dafa practitioner packed up her bags and set out. Copy after copy of flyers denouncing Jiang Zemin's crime called "The historical responsibilities that cannot be shrugged off by Jiang Zemin" were pasted in eye-catching places in major streets as well as and minor lanes. This female practitioner felt incomparably calm at heart. She knew that this was the greatest deed. And with the mighty power of Dafa in a pure heart, she would be naturally under the shelter of Master's law body. Amidst the drizzles, she posted over 100 pamphlets, all the way to Xidan Square in Beijing. Although she was spotted by security personnel, there was no "chasing and pursuing". This female practitioner returned home safe and sound.

Countless leaflets were drifting down in the air from the top floors of Dongan Plaza on Wangfujing Street. Passers-by were eagerly reaching for the flyers. Police and plainclothes officers didn't know what to do. Some pedestrian voiced out against the injustice, on behalf of Dafa. Some started reading right away despite police intervention. More and more people have started to know the truth, more and more practitioners have stepped forward, and more and more resourceful methods have come into play. Although last night, police had taken away many practitioners who were spending their night underneath the highway overpasses, more and more practitioners were on their way to Beijing. The power of "Hundreds of streams converging into the sea" is irresistible. Some practitioners who came to Beijing from other provinces are penniless now, facing great financial difficulty with meals and lodging. Yet they are demonstrating great forbearance in the tribulation, waiting for more practitioners to step forth.
[Guangzhou] Police in Guangzhou broke into a personal residence to take people away
Around midnight, early on the morning of October 1st, police from Wuyang Xincheng sub-station in Guangzhou, without giving prior notice, smashed the door by force, broke into a personal residence, took Dafa practitioners Tian Hanqin and Lin Huazhen (husband and wife), and practitioner Qin Haibo to the local police. They searched the house without warrant and took away Dafa books, Hongfa (spreading of Fa) materials, and a personal computer. Lin Huazhen was found to be pregnant, and was released in the morning on the same day. When attorneys inquired with the local police, the police told them "nothing important, a case of a 15-day administrative detaining". When family members went to inquire, they were told that two people had been detained on criminal charges, and "labor camp is what's next." But no details of what actual charges were given. The only explanation was that they were reported by someone to be Dafa practitioners. Currently family members and other Dafa practitioners think these unjustified events should be exposed in society, and they are actively seeking legal assistance.
[Shenzhen] Absurdity of the Shenzhen Police
In June, practitioner Shen Xiaofeng, with her 3-year-old, went to visit a friend in Qingshuihe, Shenzhen and was detained at the local police for over 48 hours. The mother was sent to the Nanshan Detention Center in Shenzhen to serve a sentence of unknown length and the child was left unattended in the detention center.
Shenzhen practitioners, Wang Xiaodong and his wife, who are teachers in Nantou Middle School in Nanshan District, were dismissed from school and sentenced to two years of labor education for going to Beijing to appeal for Falun Dafa. They were heavily shackled, and forced to clean feces and urine in the jail. The prisoners, taking the orders from the police, used needles to hurt her feet, monitored, cheated and tortured her 24 hours a day.
In late September, a supervisor of the work unit talked to a practitioner saying, "Since Jiang Zemin will be here this time, would you promise not to go to Beijing to appeal for Falun Dafa? If not, we will have to detain you for a number of days till Jiang Zemin leaves."

Today when we walked out of a motel, we happened to see a notice to all motels on the cashier's counter saying "searching for visiting practitioners from Jianan, Shandong Province. " May practitioners from Jinan, Shandong take extra cautions during the stay in motels in Beijing.
[Sichuan] Crackdown against Falun Gong escalates in Sichuan Province.
- A meeting was recently convened by Chengdu Municipal Government to implement "harsh converting" on "stubborn" Falun Gong adherents around the "Western Forum". They plan to force over 50% of "stubborn" Falun Gong adherents to renounce and regret in writing, promising not to go to Beijing to appeal, not to rally and not to associate with fellow practitioners. We suspect fewer and fewer people would follow these evil policies since more and more people are awakened to truth under the present cosmic condition.
- Falun Dafa practitioner Chen Juwen, president of the Xinhe Community Hospital in Jianyang, Chengdu was fined 30,000 RMB ($3,750, 5 years of average salary in China) for going to Beijing to appeal for Falun Dafa in December 1999. Chen was unable to afford this sum and had to obtain a loan from the credit union to pay for the fine under the guarantee of the administration of the community.
Few people in this community also adopted the unscrupulous practice characteristic of the "Cultural Revolution" by viciously slandering Falun Dafa in the community broadcasting. The campaign boasts to "Defile the reputation of Falun Dafa, break it down economically, and stamp them down under foot forever." The vile announcement is truly the manifestation of their evil nature.
- Practitioner Wang Bifang, female, 50, was detained on October 1, 2000. Local police in Chongzhou broke into her home and took her away with no charges.
The primary reason is because Wang has a determined heart and unshakable faith in Falun Dafa.
[Chengdu] Leadership of the Chengdu Seamless Steel Tube Factory in conspiracy with the evil force.
Gong Benjian, male, about 55 years old, is the vice secretary-general for the Communist Cabinet of the Chengdu Seamless Steel Tube Factory. (an equivalent level to local municipal governor). Allying with Chengdu City Police Department, Niushikow Police Station, he committed horrendous crimes by preparing fabricated materials and renewed the crackdown against Falun Gong practitioners working in the factory. He initiated a double decree for both the factory and the local Communist Party Cabinet and plotted a scheme to eradicate Falun Gong. Below is a list of his major crimes.
- Collecting fabricated materials to persecute and imprison determined practitioners who are employees and retirees of the factory. So far, over 40 employees and retirees have been dismissed from work, detained, arrested and sent to labor camps, among them, five are in labor camps and three dismissed from work.)
- To achieve the vicious goal to economically break down Falun Gong practitioners, he cancelled pensions for retirees who refuse to renounce Falun Gong. Since August, over 10 retirees have been deprived of their pensions, enduring extreme financial difficulty.
- Forcing Falun Gong practitioners to report to the local 3rd police 2-3 times a day. Practitioners who do not do so are fined. Close surveillance is also implemented to achieve tight control.

- Bao Yu, male, about 46 years old. Retired Secretary-in-General for the factory's Communist Party Cabinet.
- Mr. Feng, male, about 50 years old, director of the Niushikow Police Station.
- Tang Mingzhi, male, in his 40s. Newly promoted to be the Section Head for the 3rd Police Station for his merits in persecuting Falun Gong.
