Learning that over 1,000 Falun Gong practitioners who held peaceful appeals at Beijing's Tiananmen Square on the morning of October 1, were kicked, pummeled, and arrested by police, the Falun Gong practitioners in Russia appealed to the Chinese government to immediately stop Jiang Zemin and his followers' brutality. Also, to stop him from carrying out, on a large scale, the ruthless policy to harm ordinary citizens, by overriding the truth, the rule of law and the nation's constitution, and by defying the will of the heavens and the people. We also call upon the Chinese government to clear the name of Mr. Li Hongzhi (the founder of Falun Gong), and give all Falun Gong practitioners an open, and legal environment to practice Falun Gong.
Russian Falun Gong practitioners pay respect to those practitioners in China who courageously stepped forward to ask the Chinese government to stop the brutal persecution of Falun Gong and to clarify the facts about Falun Gong to the Chinese people.
We will continue our efforts, together with practitioners in China, to explain the true facts about Falun Gong to the Chinese government and people around the world, using our hearts of benevolence and selflessness in order to resolve the Falun Gong issue in a peaceful, just and fair manner.
