[Sichuan] Sixty-year-old female farmer Wang Yuru from Qu County, Sichuan Province, was beaten to death
Wang Yuru, a sixty-year-old farmer from the south side of Qu County, was sent back to Qu county detention center in late January of this year because she went to Beijing to appeal and tell the truth of Falun Gong to the Chinese government. On February 4, the police forced her to write a promise stating that she would never practice Falun Gong. She firmly refused this request.
As a result of this, the police beat her badly, forcing her to write the promise. Faced with the evil despotic power, Wang endured the huge pain and told them that she would still practice Falun Gong even if she were beaten to death. Later, Wang was really beaten to death.
After examining Wang's body, the legal medical expert ascertained that the death was due to an injured heart caused by beating. Now Wang's family preserves her heart.
There were two other practitioners who were persecuted to death at Qu county detention center. Before Wang's death, farmer Miu Qun was suffocated to death because the police inserted the pipe into her trachea when force-feeding her.
Liu Xianzhu, a farmer of over 50 years old also from the south side of Qu County, went together with Wang Yuru to appeal. He was beaten so cruelly that his entire lower body was disabled and he lost the ability to control his urine and to take care of himself.
The government officials of Sichuan Province did not even pay any attention to these crimes.

Liang Chaohui---female; 30 (born on July 14, 1969); Han ethnicity; technical school graduate; address: Rm. 102, Suite 3, Pingdong road #1, Nan district, Qingdao City, Shandong Province. She attended the experience sharing conference in Guangzhou in November 1999, and was arrested and sent back to Qingdao. She went to Beijing to protect Dafa immediately after she was released. On February 22, she was arrested in Beijing because she protected Dafa in Tiananmen Square on the eve of the 2000 Spring Festival.

[Shandong] The town government that beat Falun Gong practitioner Tian Xiangcui to death attempts to cover up the truth
After the news came out that Falun Gong practitioner Tian Xiangcui from Fengyi town, Longkou city, Shandong Province, was beaten to death by the town government, the police station and the government tried to cover up the truth. They disregarded the facts and tried to shift the responsibility by forcing practitioners to write statements claiming that Tian was not beaten to death by the government. Moreover, practitioners were asked to sign the statements and leave their fingerprints on it, otherwise they would be detained for no reason.
The government and the police station are planning on posting this so-called evidence on the Internet, attempting to prove to the world that they have nothing to do with Tian's death.
[Guangzhou] A practitioner from Cuotou prison in Guangzhou was driven to suicide
According to the news from Guangzhou, since October 1, over one hundred practitioners went to Beijing to tell the truth yet the government arrested them for no reason. Their whereabouts are still unknown.
According to the news from Cuotou prison in Guangzhou, in order to implement the orders from Jiang Zemin, the prison attempted to transform practitioners and forced them to write statements declaring that they regretted having practice Falun Gong and that Falun Gong is bad. In addition, the prison deceived practitioners by saying that writing the promise could get them released. Some practitioners swallowed the bait yet they were not released. Instead, they were directed to persuade practitioners who were firm in cultivation to give up their practice. The police also isolated practitioners who were soon to be released and forced them to rebuke Dafa. The practitioners refused to do this so the police tormented them by pepper spraying (note: spray substance like mace) them.
Falun Gong practitioner Zhu Derong was forced to quit his job because he practiced Falun Gong. He could not afford the education expenses for his two sons. In order to force him to give up cultivation, the police threatened to throw him in jail. Under enormous pressure, Zhu committed suicide and left a posthumous statement listing the real reasons that he was persecuted. The police confiscated the statement for no reason.
Despite the pressure, Guangzhou practitioners still hold a rock-solid heart in cultivation. They step forward to distribute and post Dafa flyers with wisdom and they are determined in assisting Teacher in the world and advancing towards Consummation.
[Chongqing City] Falun Gong flyers appeared at Chongqi Medical University
On the evening of Oct. 16th, 2000, a practitioner went to Chongqing Medical University and happened to find many police vehicles stationed at the gate of the University. There were a large number of policemen and plainclothes agents standing by. All the crossroads on the campus were closely guarded. This practitioner saw many students standing aside and talking to each other. One of them said loudly: "Wow! Falun Gong is really great!" After some inquiry, the practitioner found out that several Falun Gong practitioners distributed a large number of flyers that disclosed the evil conducts of Jiang Zemin to the students in the evening classes. Students passed them around and read with great interest. However, the university leadership was terribly frightened and brought the policemen in. After hearing the story, this practitioner started widely posting the Dafa materials he brought with on bulletin boards, on classroom doors, in the dining room, and even in the teachers' residential area. After all the materials were distributed, the practitioner silently retreated.
[Shijiazhuang City] Police astonishingly witnessed a miracle happening to Falun Dafa practitioner
One day recently, several practitioners gathered in a practitioner's home in Qiaoxi district of Shijiazhuang City, Hebei Province, which is located on the sixth floor. Police learned about the gathering and sent people to wait outside the door. The practitioners knew that the police's conduct was illegal, so they stayed inside for six days until the police couldn't stand any more and began to smash the door. One practitioner jumped down from the balcony of the sixth floor with ease and was not hurt in the slightest. The police witnessed the power of Dafa with their own eyes, and were completely shocked and exclaimed: "I don't have the courage to jump like that."
[Dalian City] Police in Dalian City, Liaoning Province, burned practitioners' faces with a lighter
The police from Hongyan station burned the faces of practitioners who were detained in the drug-rehabilitation center with a lighter. The police in Dafangshan station ransacked the practitioners' homes. They were not interested in taking the TV set of a practitioner because it was too small. Instead, they took the larger one of his son (a non-practitioner). Currently, almost 200 practitioners are detained at the Dalian drug-rehabilitation center. Over 60 practitioners were detained in detention centers, and 20 were given administrative detention. Up to the time of this news, another 10 have been sent there. All practitioners' houses were ransacked.
[Haozhou City] The police in Haozhou City of Anhui Province started massively arresting Falun Dafa practitioners
On the afternoon of Oct. 11, 2000, the police in Haozhou City of Anhui Province suddenly started arresting Dafa practitioners on a large scale and charged them with the crime of interfering with social order. During the following two days, over 40 practitioners were arrested, about 200 were taken away, and more than 60 houses were ransacked illegally. During the next several days, over 50 more practitioners were arrested. In addition to those 24 practitioners who went to Beijing on a peaceful appeal, a total of more than 100 practitioners are now detained in the detention center.
One practitioner sternly questioned the several leaders of his work unit while they met him before he was arrested: "You are all veteran members of the party and veteran cadres. After so many years of education from the party, now which of you can volunteer to leave your positions when the work unit is over staffed? But we Falun Dafa practitioners can!" At that moment, everyone on the spot became silent. After a while, one leader even asked: "May I take a look at your book?"
[Shandong] A practitioner from Shandong Province rode to Beijing on a bicycle with flat tires, begging along the way to survive
One practitioner in Tai-an City, Shandong Province shook off the interference from the village committee during this National Day and was able to ride a bicycle toward Beijing to appeal. He was robbed of his money during the trip and his bicycle's tires went flat as well. Without money, he had to beg along the way and rode that bicycle for four days and five nights to arrive in Beijing. It was already midnight when he reached Beijing. He slept by squatting on the ground facing the wall and then went straight to Tiananmen Square early next morning.
In addition, practitioners in Changping County, Beijing, were prohibited from visiting Tiananmen Square during the National Day (Oct. 1st). Anyone that was found there would be levied a fine between RMB 200 to 500. Otherwise, they would put in the detention center.
[Shandong] News from Haiyang, Shangdong Province
Haiyang City is currently detaining more than 30 Falun Dafa practitioners. Several police took the chance to rob Falun Dafa practitioners of their money and property. When they were asked to provide a receipt, they cruelly beat those practitioners. The police at Panshi town of Haiyang have beaten one practitioner so badly that his body was bruised everywhere. They then stripped off his clothes and threw him out in the rain.
[Hebei] Yan Juying was cruelly beaten by the police at Yanjiao, Sanhe City, Hebei Province.
On October 6, 2000, Falun Gong practitioner Yan Juying from Yanjiao, Sanhe city, Hebei province went to Tiananmen Square to appeal for Falun Gong. She was arrested and sent back to Yanjiao. Before she got off the car, the police captain Yang Xizhong started to kick her, beat her, pull her hair to slap her face and forcefully kick her private parts. Then he lifted her to the air and violently threw her to the ground. He then beat Yan's buttocks several hundred times with a wood rod. Her buttocks got badly swollen and was black and blue like an eggplant. Later, he whipped Yan numerous times and inflicted electric shocks upon her whole body. Her body was tortured so badly that no area was in good condition. Her face was deformed because the police captain used a slipper to slap her face and inflicted electric shocks on her mouth.
In the end, the police captain threatened to splash her body with boiling water and ordered her to take her clothes off. Yan resisted firmly. He then forcefully put his hands on Yan's genitals. That night, they sent Yan to the town government hall to attend the transformation class. Many practitioners cried upon seeing that she was beaten so badly that her body was deformed. Even the staff of town government encouraged her and said with respect: "Extraordinary!"
[Beijing] A female Dafa practitioner in Beijing Industry and Commerce University is Missing.
A female Dafa practitioner at Beijing Industry and Commerce University went to Tiananmen Square on October 1 to peacefully appeal. She was sent back to the university and has been missing ever since.
[Jiangxi Province] A Ph.D. student at University of Science and Technology of China is missing.
Zhao Gang is a 23-year old practitioner from Nanchang City, Jiangxi Province. He is a Ph.D. student at University of Science and Technology in China. On September 26, 2000, several officers from the city police station and the public security department of JiangXi Province came to his home to arrest him. They also confiscated his computer and ransacked his home. Zhao is now missing.

[Hebei Province] The police at Yanjiao, Hebei Province violently beat Dafa practitioners and charge them with large fines.
A practitioner from Yanjiao, Hebei province went to Beijing to peacefully appeal for Falun Gong on May 11, 2000. She was arrested and sent back to Yanjiao police station. The vicious policeman XX Yang pulled her hair and beat her badly, and inflicted electric shocks on her. This practitioner was detained for 9 days, and was released after experiencing innumerable tortures and being fined 12,000 Yuan.
[China] A police felt sinful after reading teacher's scripture
A policeman at a city's police station in China read Teacher's scripture "Eliminate Your Last Attachment(s)": "At present, the evil in the cosmic body has already been completely eliminated, is approaching the vile people in the human world and those vicious murderers who have beaten to death or injured Dafa disciples (future Buddhas, Daos, and Gods)." He felt sinful and shocked. When interrogating a practitioner who was arrested because of appealing in Beijing, he said with a lingering fear: "I am not the devil mentioned in your Teacher's scripture, am I? I did not beat you.""
[Chengdu City] List of evils that persecuted Dafa practitioners
Falun Gong practitioners in Chengdu provided the following list that represents the cruelest people and working units that have persecuted Falun Gong. This list may provide evidence for those individuals or agencies that want to further investigate these persecutions.
Feng Jiuwei: the assistant chief of the 1st section of Chengdu Police Department, director for the special group of Falun Gong case in Chengdu.
This person is extraordinarily cold and unemotional, and is very cruel when attacking people. He sent hundreds of Dafa practitioners into labor camps personally. Under his direction, all police substations and security units in Chengdu cruelly beat up and searched practitioners' homes, confiscated their assets and demanded huge amounts in fines. Ms. Zhang Aili, simply because she read Zhuan Falun when she was in the "Transformation Class" in Yingmenkou police substation, was sentenced to one year in labor Camp by Feng. Ms. Zhang is now jailed in Nanmushi Women Prison in Zizhong City.
Zhai Yongchuan: director of Baohe town police substation, he was commended as "one of the Ten Outstanding Youth" in Chengdu in 1999.
Under his leadership, police in Baohe town cruelly beat up and inhumanly tortured Falun Gong practitioners who would not write the pledge. Among the practitioners that were persecuted, many of are seniors in there 60's or 70's. He also forced practitioners to shut down their businesses and confiscated their family properties. He raised great wrath there due to his brutal and lawless activities.
Hao Weiyuan: Secretary for the Political and Law Committee of Chenghua District, Chengdu City
He asked police in his district to carry out very cruel persecution against Falun Gong practitioners. As long as they do not write the pledge, they will be indefinitely locked up in the detention center (by law, one cannot not be kept in the detention center for over 15 days). Ms. Liu Can, principal of Guoguang School, was continuously detained by Hao for more than 180 days.
Zhai Yongchuan is a hatchet man for Hao Weiyuan.
Jin Shicheng: the leader of Shuangliu County
Among county officers in Chengdu, he is the cruelest in persecuting Falun Gong practitioners. He always says, "As long as you continue practicing, we will break you down politically, economically and spiritually.""
Under his leadership, government officers at all levels in Shuangliu County treated practitioners very cruelly. For those practitioners who cannot afford the fines, officers would go to confiscate their personal belongings in their homes.
In Shuangliu County, many practitioners are being sentenced to jail or being kept very long at "Transformation Classes" and detention centers.
Jitou town police station (a subdivision of Wuhou District Police Division in Chengdu)
Practitioners Liu Zhenhai, Peng Liang and some other practitioners in Jitou town were kept in an abandoned power supply plant for about 8 months for the so-called "Transformation Class", where males and females share the same room. There are no toilets or any sanitary facilities, and the room stinks badly.
