One practitioner rode his bicycle all the way from the northeastern part of China to Beijing, distributing flyers about the truth of Dafa along the way. Sometimes, he would not sleep for several days. He sometimes would take the wrong route and had to make detours. Many people were willing to accept the flyers, while others did not. With great compassion, Dafa gives everyone an opportunity. It is all up to those people themselves to decide how to judge Dafa.
[Chengdu] Practitioners in Chengdu distributed Dafa flyers
After reading "A magnificent action in Beijing and some thoughts" on Minghui net, practitioners in Chengdu began to take action. They had planned to do a city-wide action to post the article "The Historical Responsibility that Jiang Zemin Cannot Shirk". The action was canceled because information about it was leaked. During the following days, we went to shopping centers, streets and schools to distribute materials on the truth of Falun Gong. However, as the Western Region Development Forum drew near, a lot of plainclothes policemen and agents were planted. Many practitioners were detained and their homes were ransacked for distributing Dafa materials. Most of the practitioners were monitored and tracked. Phone calls were tapped. Under such severe circumstances, a coordinated activity was almost impossible.
It was raining on the night of October 9. Several practitioners posted "The Historical Responsibility that Jiang Zemin Cannot Shirk" along the Neihuanyi Road. Everything ran smoothly. No special agents or plainclothes police were seen. Sometimes, police cars swiftly passed by. We knew that this was arranged by Teacher. We started at 2 in the morning. After a four hour walk in the rain, over 800 flyers were posted. All of us came back safely at dawn.

Ma Hongtao and Fang Lihong served as traffic policemen in Anshan City of Liaoning province. They have been detained in Tangjiafang Mental Hospital of Anshan City for more than a year, because they persisted in practicing Falun Gong and would not slander Falun Dafa.

According to a credible source, over 1,400 practitioners were detained and 48 banners were confiscated on October 1 on Tiananmen Square. On October 5, there were about 10,000 practitioners in Tiananmen Square. Among the arrested practitioners, those from the North China Oil Field of Hebei and Shengli Oil Field constituted more than half of the practitioners.
A lot of practitioners had remained in Beijing since October 1. A large number of them were from Shandong province, and on average, 700 to 800 were sent back daily. All train passengers to Beijing are subject to detailed checking. Police used various methods to look for practitioners. They would check to see if a group of people (especially senior citizens) had sequential seat numbers. They would also insult Dafa in order to provoke practitioners, or they would just directly ask practitioners why they were going to Beijing.
It was said that "6.10" office (an office specializing in cracking down on Falun Gong) and the Police Department had a meeting. They are looking at Falun Gong as an organization that is against the government, so they will take tougher measures on the issue of Dafa materials and the printing of these materials in the following months. So fellow practitioners, please exercise more caution.

Starting in October, practitioners in a city in Mainland China resumed group study and began discussion of the Teacher's recent two articles. After exchanging opinions, some practitioners discovered their incorrect understandings and mistakes. They agreed that they should utilize more flexible and wise channels to clarify the truth. They went to some suburban cities or the countryside for group study during their spare time and brought a lot of Dafa materials there. In some counties, they have begun to clarify the truth on a large scale and practitioners from this city also posted and distributed Dafa materials in Beijing.
[Beijing] Li Qinshui nearly beaten to death for distributing materials on the truth of Dafa
Dafa practitioner Li Qinshui in Shijingshan District of Beijing went missing on October 2 when he went to distribute materials on the truth of Dafa. Several days later, he was found in a garden at the east gate of the Capital Iron Company. At the time, he was close to death from being beaten. He was sent to the hospital of the Capital Iron Company. No one was allowed to visit him in the hospital. It remains unknown whether he is still alive. We strongly condemn such brutality. The police have resorted to these shameful methods so that practitioners will not die inside the police station.
In addition, Li Qinshui's wife Li Xiangyun and his son Li Hao (a middle school student, 15 years old) are still in detention for distributing materials about the truth of Falun Dafa on October 6.

Ren Guoxian was arrested in the Fangshan district of Beijing when handing out Dafa materials there in mid September, and was sentenced to one year in labor camp. She just graduated from Beijing Industry University this year. Although she successfully passed her Master's degree thesis defense, the school did not grant her a Master's degree because she refused to write the guarantee letter required by the university that she would not practice Falun Gong. Later, she got a job and was eventually fired because of her determination in Dafa. Ren Guoxian has gone to appeal to the government many times. During the period of the two meetings (the meetings of the National People's Congress and the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress) this spring, she and two other practitioners walked into a Beijing restaurant and delivered a petition letter to the deputies of the National People's Congress. The police detained her and sent her back to the university authority.

Chen Meifen, the contact person of Zhangzhou city of Fujian province, is a practitioner deserving of high respect. In order to validate Dafa, she led over twenty practitioners to a morning practice in the park on July 2nd. Then, the police arrested them (even until today, seven practitioners are still being detained), and she has been in jail for three months. In addition, a young female practitioner has been put in labor camp in Fuzhou city, Fujian province for almost one year.

For practitioners who would like to mail Dafa material to your family or friends, please be informed that for the time being, the police department has assigned personnel everywhere in China to examine out-going mail. One city can check more than 8,000 pieces of mail a day. For practitioners who want to mail Dafa materials or letters to your family, please be cautious: don't provide your address, telephone number, or even your handwriting. If your family is being monitored, the letter you mail out will be the best evidence to arrest you. These types of cases have been reported several times. For practitioners wanting to post Dafa materials outdoors, please understand that some cities have fewer pedestrians and more patrolmen in the middle of the night, and it is not safe to post Dafa material at midnight. Don't post Dafa materials again in the same area within a short period of time if Dafa materials have already been found in that area.
Please send a notice via Minghui net to practitioners who own computers: do not keep sensitive materials or photos in your computers, since police arrests can happen abruptly without notice. Do not leave any evidence. The information that the police department obtains through telephone monitoring cannot be used as an evidence for arresting a person.
Currently, the police that arrest Falun Gong practitioners in China have been badly battered by the huge amount of materials concerning the truth of Falun Gong. Initially, they tried to categorize these Dafa materials, but they stopped due to the large amount of materials.
