Zhu Derong was forced to quit his job because he practiced Falun Gong. He could not afford the education for his two sons. In order to force him to give up cultivation practice, the police threatened to throw him in jail. Under enormous pressure, Zhu committed suicide and left a posthumous statement listing the reasons why he was persecuted. The police confiscated the statement.
