History will always expose a politician who has done wrong deeds to his country. When Jiang Zemin felt that he was unsurpassed in the world, history had already brought him on trial in a specific dimension. His interview with Mr. Wallace in Beidaihe and his subsequent trip to New York had turned the opportunities granted by history into the beginning of his trial and conviction. Jiang Zemin's actions of resisting the historical development had put him in the defendant's seat in the eyes of the people. On August 15th of this year, Mr. Wallace, the host of the CBS program "60 Minutes", conducted an unusual interview with Jiang Zemin at Beidaihe. Soon after the interview started, Mr. Wallace said something right to the pointthat Jiang Zemin spoke like a real politician, and there's no candor in his talk. He also pointed out that Jiang Zemin is the last major communist dictator in the world. Jiang Zemin tried to find excuses for himself. 1) He said that China has the National People's Congress that selects the Central Committee of the Communist Party. However, everyone knows that the National People's Congress has absolutely no right to do so and it has never elected the Central Committee. 2) Jiang said: "The Central Committee has a Politburo. The Politburo has a standing committee of which I'm a member. No decision is made unless all members agree." But everyone knows that Jiang Zemin is the leader of the "what I say goes" Party. He possesses the highest authority and can suppress people with his power. He can also threaten people with his exaggerated "you are allowing the party and nation to be subjugated" declaration. Furthermore, he can utilize his vicious techniques threatening all of the members of the standing committee to insure that they will not oppose his decisions. Mr. Wallace explained what a dictator is like. He said that a dictator is a person who forcibly suppresses others. Then, by giving an example of how to recognize a duck, he said, "If something walks like a duck and makes noises like a duck, then it must be a duck". This has explained in detail why Jiang Zemin is considered to be a dictator by recognizing his following characteristics of a dictator: 1) Suppresses free media 2) Suppresses the freedom of religion 3) Suppresses private enterprise 4) Suppresses democracy 5) Suppresses human rights, by brutally persecuting Falun Gong practitioners. Jiang Zemin tossed out two big lies in attempt to hide his sinful acts of persecution. He started rumors by saying that 1) The founder of Falun Gong had claimed to be "a reincarnated Jesus Christ" and 2) Falun Gong has caused "thousands people to commit suicide". Chinese people overseas have always been concerned with the major events in their homeland. They often pay close attention to the Chinese official news reports. They originally thought that the news from the state-run newspapers and TV stations, or the speeches by the country leaders were true. However, increasingly they are finding out that this is not so. Take the Falun Gong situation as an example. In the beginning, the government claimed that the practice had caused more than 800 deaths. However, recently, the official religious delegates sent by Jiang Zemin said it was 1,600 people. This has caused those overseas Chinese people who had experienced the "Great Cultural Revolution" to start to question the propaganda of the Chinese authorities. How come after one year of persecution of Falun Gong, they started claiming the thousands of suicides? Didn't those people die as the result of the persecution? In fact, if we are talking about how many families were broken and how many people were killed, the real criminal is Jiang Zemin. The interview at Beidaihe has already marked the beginning of an open trial on Jiang Zemin. This is because his reprehensible actions have determined his real nature and historical position for himself. That is, Jiang Zemin is a ruthless and fraudulent dictator. Jiang Zemin, who has been determined by history as "the last major dictator", is nothing more than an empty shell and it is only that his life on earth has not ended yet. What awaits him is the final conviction and punishment. September 21, 2000
