Dear Mr. Parker,

Thank you for contacting me to express your concern over the persecution of Falun Gong practitioners in China. As your Representative, I appreciate your taking the time to contact me.

You will be pleased to know that we are in complete agreement on this issue. I have signed the letter to President Clinton, asking him to urge Chinese officials to free all detained and imprisoned Falun Gong practitioners in jails and mental institutions. Human rights violations are a tragedy that occur far too often in our world and I believe that it is important for the United States to speak out when other governments are taking brutal actions against their own citizens.
