In May 2005, the Jilin City National Security Police sent people to Ms. Wang Yin's workplace, Jilin City Radiation Chemical Industries, to investigate her activities. On July 15, 2005, four people from the National Security Police Department came to her workplace and tried to arrest her. They pushed the management to trick her into coming to the company site, but the plan failed. Later they went to her house directly to make an arrest and to search her home. In order to expose the police's illegal activities, Ms. Wang went out onto the balcony and told her neighbors about what was happening. Fearing the bad publicity, the police backed off and left her house temporarily. Right after that, Ms. Wang left her home and went into hiding.

On July 17, 2005, agents from National Security Police pretended to be water meter readers and fooled Wang Yi's mother into opening the door. The police rushed in and searched the house, confiscating many things such as Falun Gong books, printing materials, and personal items, including a cell phone, bank deposit book, personal ID card, etc. Later her family members repeatedly asked for the return of these items, but the police refused.

On August 31, 2005, under police pressure, her employer demanded that she come to work. On September 23, 2005, in a meeting of all its employees, the management announced that Ms. Wang Yin had grossly violated work discipline and fired her.

At the beginning of December 2005, Wang Yin's parents went to the National Security Bureau, asking for the return of the stolen items. Director Zhang, the person designated in National Security Department Four to persecute Falun Gong, came out to receive her parents. He gave them his own phone number and asked that Ms. Wang call him. In order to clarify the truth to him, she later called him. Zhang did not say much during the phone conversation, but about 10 days later, on December 13, 2005, a dozen national security agents rushed into the room that Ms. Wang shared with three other practitioners and arrested all of them.

That night, Ms. Wang was sent to Changchun and detained in a secret detention center under the jurisdiction of Jilin Province National Security. She was illegally detained for more than a month. Everyday she had to wear handcuffs and foot shackles; she was often forced to sit on a chair for a long time during the day. At night, she had to sleep on two chairs, because there was not enough space to lie down stretched out. She was allowed to sleep on a mattress only four times during the month, and for two nights she had to sleep sitting up in a chair. In the last 10 days of her detention, the four police officers assigned to monitor Ms. Wang forced her to watch TV almost 24 hours a day so she could hardly get any rest. As a result, she suffered from memory loss and steadily lost weight. The issues that she reported to Director Zhang were not resolved at all.

During her entire time in detention, Ms. Wang was on a hunger strike. After seven days, she was sent to the company hospital owned by Factory Number 228 for forced feeding. Subsequently, she was forced to go through forced feeding once every two to three days. In total she was force fed no less than 11 times. From the day she was arrested, Wang Yin was placed under huge psychological pressure. The first night of her detention, policeman Zuo said to her: "I want to rape you, because I am a rapist." Ms. Wang denied his evil act by sending forth the righteous thoughts. After she was transferred to Changchun, officers Yang Qi and Chen intimidated her. During this time three general director level police officers came to see her. Two of them asked to see her after she started the hunger strike. They feared that their illegal conduct might be exposed, so they did not reveal their names, but based on other information, their surnames were most likely Li and Pan. When Ms. Wang demanded her legal rights, these police officials rudely cut her off.

On January 13, 2006, the National Security Department released Wang Yin under "temporary parole with bond." She refused to sign her name, so they threatened to transfer her to the police. Later her family members who were not practitioners signed for her and paid 2000 yuan in cash and gave a 3000-yuan IOU note. Due to severe persecution, Ms. Wang had difficulty walking. s

Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Zhao Xifa, who is about 60 years old, is from Choujiashuang Village, Wubei Town, Laixi City, Qingdao City, Shandong Province. At around ten o’clock on February 17, 2006, police officers from the Wubei Town Police Station in Laixi City illegally arrested him and ransacked his home, seizing Falun Gong books and truth-clarification materials.

On the morning of May 31, 2006, Mr. Zhao Xifa was handcuffed and forced to make a court appearance at the Laixi City Court. The Communist party made up some so-called "evidence" to find him "guilty."

Before learning Falun Gong, Mr. Zhao Xifa suffered from many illnesses, including an incurable tumor in his brain. After learning Falun Gong, his brain tumor disappeared, and all of his illnesses were cured without taking any medicine or spending any money. He was persecuted in the Laixi City Prison for four months just because of his belief in "Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance."

On June 1, 2006, Mr. Zhao’s wife received a call from a relative. The police said that Zhao Xifa was ill, and they wanted money to pay the medical bills. On the morning of June 2, Mr. Zhao’s wife went to the police station. Under the surveillance of several police, Mr. Zhao Xifa was finally taken to the Laixi City People’s Hospital for an examination. At that time, Mr. Zhao’s wife saw that his face and other parts of his body, from his legs to his abdomen, were all swollen. The exam alone cost 500 yuan. The police told Mr. Zhao’s wife that Mr. Zhao would have to take another physical exam on June 3.

The Laixi City Prison persecuted two Falun Gong practitioners to death in 2001 and 2002, respectively. One of whom is Mr. Xu Zengliang from Pingdu City, and the other is Mr. Shi Hongjie from Sunjiachen Village, Wubei Town, Laixi City, Shandong Province. Currently, Mr. Zhao Xifa is in an extremely bad state of health due to the persecution. Why do the police still refuse to release him?

The Tianjin City Women's Forced Labor Camp is a hell on earth. Before the 5th Group was enlarged, many Falun Gong practitioners were cruelly persecuted there. During the fall and winter seasons, the cells are very cold and damp. A new detainee is often so frightened that she cannot fall asleep at night. There were heaters in the cells, but they were never allowed to be turned on unless outside visitors or government officials came to inspect the camp. Instead, only the stove in each cell was allowed to burn a small amount of coal. The camp didn’t give any wood for lighting a fire, so the practitioners had to use their wooden stools instead. When all parts of the stools were used up for burning, the practitioners had to buy more stools from the camp’s shop, where everything was expensive and the quality was poor.

The practitioners didn’t use the coal for burning during the daytime because they wanted to save them for use during the nighttime so the cells would stay warm a little longer for them to go to sleep. However, most of the time after the practitioners had just lit the stove, a guard would come into the cell and remove the metal frame so they couldn’t be used. Their cruel reason was because the camp did not allow the burning of coal late into the night. As a result, the cells got very cold and we could not fall asleep. Still, we had to get up the next morning at 3:00 a.m. to go outside and use our bare hands to rub the ground with a brick that had many spots covered with cement. Although it was winter, practitioners were still not allowed to wear gloves, so blood was all over their hands.

Breakfast was at around 7:00 a.m., but as soon as they finished their breakfasts, practitioners had to continue to rub the cement.

In July of 2000, the authorities arrested many Falun Gong practitioners and imprisoned them at the camp. Practitioners were forced to sort beans to make money for the camp. Every day, each practitioner had to finish her quota of more than ten bags of beans to be sorted. Sometimes, the camp would add several dozen bags of beans that needed to be picked later on during the day. The camp unceasingly increased the amount of the practitioners’ work. If a practitioner couldn’t finish her work, she was not allowed to go to sleep. The truck delivering the beans to the camp never left empty since so many practitioners continuously worked and did not even have as much as three or four hours of sleep for several days. Many of them fell asleep while sorting beans.

Practitioners who were younger than fifty years old had to load and unload the extremely heavy bean bags from the trucks. Once I had a fever, but the camp still forced me to load 27 bags of beans on the truck. The camp treated us like animals and would not even allow us to take a shower or change clothes.

Although each practitioner was allowed to have one thermos of water with them, they had to leave it outside of the cell and most of the time, they didn’t have time to drink their water. As a result, the thermoses were frequently stolen by the inmates who monitored the practitioners. If one person needed to go to use the restroom, everyone from the cell had to stand and wait outside the restroom. To be able to finish their quota, many practitioners quickly used the restroom and was not able to spend extra time to have a bowel movement. As a result, several practitioners felt sick from not being unable to have a complete bowel movement. A practitioner who was a doctor told the criminal cell head that a soapy water enema would help people to have a bowel movement. After the cell head asked for instructions from a guard, she brought back a rubber feeding tube. However, the same guard wickedly said, "How can you use a feeding tube to insert into the anus?" and took back the tube.

The cells where we slept were turned into workshops to sort beans. Due to limited space, each person was forced to put her blanket and clothes into a bag to be stored in one of the two unused, wet rooms called the "reserve rooms." We sorted the beans from our bed. If we couldn’t finish our quota, no one was allowed to go to sleep that night. Also, if we couldn’t finish our work, the guards did not give us any time to buy our daily necessities. Later, only the cell head was allowed to help us buy some things, which immediately went into the two "reserve rooms." If we couldn’t finish our work, we were not allowed to open the reserve rooms. When we were finally allowed to sleep for about three or four hours, the guard allowed us to take some things from the reserve rooms. By that time, our food had been eaten by mice and our daily necessities had become mouse nests.

Since July 1999, some people have been following Jiang Zemin closely in persecuting Falun Gong and Falun Gong practitioners. Falun Gong practitioners have provided them with sufficient opportunities, yet they have refused to change. We are hereby exposing some of these persecutors:

The following are their crimes:

1. On the afternoon of March 28, 2006, practitioners Chen Wen, Zhang Shujun, Chen Xiangyang, and Wang Liqiong were arrested by police officers from Daishan or Qingyunpu Police Branches, who broke into their material production site. All of their equipment and bankbooks were taken away.

On March 29, Chen Wen and Zhang Shujun were sent to a hotel in Daishan to be tortured. The director and vice-director at the Daishuan Police Branch, Zhang Jun, the head of Qingyunpu Police Branch, and police officer Deng Xiangyang, hung them up with their feet not touching the floor by handcuffing them to the windows. They also forced the guards to hold their feet, with one person holding each foot, and dragging the two feet apart to form a horizontal line; their feet were also swung from left to right, or back and forth. The torture lasted for thirty-six hours and the practitioners had their lower backs hurt. On the third night, the police did not allow them to sleep, and they would get beaten once they closed their eyes. Police officer Deng Xiangyang hit Zhang Shujun’s toes with a chair until blood was all over her, and her hands and feet went numb. Those involved in the persecution included Hu Xiaojun and Zhu Li at Qingyunpu Police Branch, and a supervisor named Li.

Chang Xiangyang’s home was searched, and Zhang Shujun’s home was broken into by police officers that had a locksmith unlock the door. All of the bank books in the home, including her sister’s, were all taken away.

2. Police arrested another practitioner, Jiang Lanying, at her home on July 11, 2002 because she had distributed truth clarification materials and had hung up banners. At the police station, she was beaten by police officer Wang Wei (now the Party Director) and Zhou Xiangfeng with electric batons or metal clubs. Wang Wei also put a chair on Jiang Lanying’s feet and then sat on it. The torture lasted for three days and nights. Later Jiang Lanying was unlawfully sentenced to five years in prison. Jiang Lanyin refused to cooperate with the evil and started a hunger strike to protest the persecution against her. She was then sent to the provincial forced labor camp hospital to be forced fed for two years and eleven months. In this period, her family members were not allowed to visit her. One day in the winter, her elderly mother came to give her a winter coat in the heavy snow, but the police turned her away without letting the two meet or giving Jiang Lanying the coat.

On June 1, 2005, Wang Wei and about ten police officers from Pengjiaqiao Police Branch came to Jiang Lanying’s home and took her parents to the forced labor camp hospital. The parents were shown that Jiang Lanying was tied on the bed and forced to take an injection. A reporter with a video camera was arranged to record Jiang saying that she was not abused. At the same time, her mother was asked to sign on a hospital notice informing family members of the patient’s critical condition. Her mother refused to sign it. Jiang Lanying told her mother that this was persecution and that it was a set-up. She told her mother that the police officers had just beaten her. Wang Wei then said that he was not afraid of her suing, and he just wanted her dead. Jiang Lanying weighed more than seventy-five kilograms before being jailed, and her weight dropped to less than forty kilograms. Her parents have not seen her since August 2005. Her current situation is unknown.

3. Director Yu Quanjin, Deputy Director Song Bo, Lv Xiuying, and Qiu Jimei at Jiangxi Provincial Women’s Labor Camp have been persecuting practitioners detained there with inhumane methods. Some practitioners have been tortured until they suffered from a mental disorder or became handicapped.

Physical abuse is commonplace for Falun Gong practitioners at the labor camp. One practitioner’s arm was twisted until it was disabled. The police officer who did this is now a deputy director. Some were beaten unconscious with electric batons, revived, and beaten unconscious again. Their skin turned dark red after being assaulted repeatedly with electric batons. Others were handcuffed and hung up day and night. Even when they were sleeping at night, their hands were cuffed to the metal poles at the bed’s head, and they could not move, as the handcuffs would cut into the flesh deeper and deeper. Some were slapped on the face until their faces were swollen and mouths were bleeding. Some were dragged by their hair and smashed into the wall, causing big bumps on the head and dizziness. Others were nearly frozen by being handcuffed in the hallway, where the windows were opened on purpose in the coldest days of winter.

Practitioners have been tortured both physically and psychologically, which has caused mental disorders in some practitioners. For those suffering from a mental disorder, the police would not release them because of their situation. Instead, they would continue detaining the practitioners even after the sentenced period. The police officers would search practitioners at will. If the practitioner does not cooperate, the officer would handcuff him or her to the window or rack for several days and extend the detention period by ten to fifteen days.

1. [Shandong Province] Mr. Wu Hong Tortured by Penglai City 610 Office, His Life Endangered

Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Wu Hong, who has been illegally held in the 610 Office Brainwashing Center of Penglai City in Shandong Province, was sent to the Penglai City Hospital on June 6 for emergency rescue. Reportedly, Mr. Wu Hong’s skull was fractured and he was in a deep coma. His breathing was maintained by a breathing machine, and his life was endangered.

Mr. Wu Hong was arrested on the morning of May 30 by more than10 plainclothes police officers, who climbed over the wall and broke into his home.

2. [Jilin Province] Falun Gong Practitioner Mr. Liang Zhenxing Taken Back to Siping Prison

Practitioner Mr. Liang Zhenxing is one of the practitioners who tapped into television broadcasts to show truth-clarification films in Changchun City. He has been taken back to Siping Prison in shackles and is currently being severely tortured.

3. [Jilin Province] Ms. Zhang Xiuling Very Weak Due to Torture in Heizuizi Forced Labor Camp

Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Zhang Xiuling has been held beyond the end of her sentence and she is extremely weak due to torture. She is experiencing frequent headaches and feels as if being pressed by heavy objects. She is also suffering from a severe stomachache that prevents her from eating. Her entire body is swollen. She has been in such a state for a long period of time. She has not eaten any food for over ten days and her life is greatly endangered. However, the forced labor camp still refuses to release her and instead is force-feeding her.

4. [Daqing City, Heilongjiang Province] Falun Gong Practitioner Mr. Li Yequan Has Become Very Thin Due to Torture in the Suihua Forced Labor Camp

Practitioner Mr. Li Yequan, who was arrested in Daqing City on September 23, 2005, has been on a hunger strike for more than eight months to protest the illegal persecution. Mr. Li was first taken to the Daqing City Forced Labor Camp where he was brutally tortured. In February 2006, he was secretly transferred to the Suihua Forced Labor Camp of Heilongjiang Province and has been tortured.

In the middle of May 2006, Mr. Li Yequan’s wife and son went to the Suihua Forced Labor Camp to visit him. They noticed that Mr. Li Yequan was very weak and very skinny. The Suihua Forced Labor Camp asked his family members to talk him into eating and also threatened them, saying: "If he still will not eat, then he will have to suffer the consequences if any problems occur in the future."

5. [Jilin Province] Ms. Shao Lihong Tortured in the Heizuizi Women’s Forced Labor Camp

Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Shao Lihong was taken to Jiaohe Detention Center at the beginning of October 2005. Ms. Shao ate very little food every day and she became weak. On November 8, she was taken to the Heizuizi Women’s Forced Labor Camp of Changchun City in Heilongjiang Province and held in the 7th Group. Ms. Shao went on a hunger strike to protest the illegal detention and was force-fed. She was sent to the Provincial Police Department Hospital on February 21, 2006. On April 19, she was taken back to the Heizuizi Women’s Forced Labor Camp. The physician said that her mouth and esophagus were totally inflamed. She still has a pulmonary cyst and she is extremely weak and has developed anorexia.

6. [Haicheng City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Chen Shulan Arrested at Her Home by Police From the Wangshi Town Police Station

Practitioner Ms. Chen Shulan from the Daiqian Region of Wangshi Town, Haicheng City in Liaoning Province was arrested at her home by police from the Wangshi Town Police Station. After she was illegally held for fifteen days, she was taken to the Masanjia Forced Labor Camp in Shenyang City by police from the Wangshi Town Police Station as well as Li Haihua (male), the Chief of the National Security Group.

7. [Sanhe City, Hebei Province] Four Practitioners Disappeared After Four Months of Illegal Detention

Four Falun Gong practitioners from the Zhugedian Area of Yanjiao Town of Sanhe City disappeared after four months of illegal detention. They are: Mr. Zhou Zaitian, Mr. Zhou Chuanzhong, Mr. Zhang Deli, and Mr. Ma Weishan.

In addition, practitioner Ms. Li Cuixian lost contact with her family members and her current situation is not clear.

8. [Yilan County, Heilongjiang Province] Mr. Li Jun Arrested

On the morning of June 3, 2006, Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Li Jun from Weizigou Village, Hulin Township, Yilan County in Heilongjiang Province, was arrested. The reason for the arrest was that Mr. Li gave a villager some cash that had the "Three Withdrawals" (Withdrawing from the Chinese Communist Party, the CCP Young Pioneers, and the CCP Youth League) written on it. The villager was given the cash for his rice harvest. When the villager went to the bank to deposit the cash, the cash was confiscated and he was interrogated regarding the source of the cash. Mr. Li Jun was thereby reported to the Sandaogang Town Police Station. Reportedly Mr. Li Jun is currently being held in the Yilan County No. 2 Detention Center.

9. [Yilan County, Heilongjiang Province] Practitioner Mr. Li Shoutian Lost the Ability to Walk Due to Torture at the Changlinzi Forced Labor Camp

Mr. Li Shoutian is a 61-year-old practitioner from Dalianhe Town, Yilan County in Heilongjiang Province. He was illegally arrested on May 26, 2004, and was later sentenced to three years of forced labor. He is currently being held in the 4th Group of the Changlinzi Forced Labor Camp and is being tortured.

Last year when Mr. Li Shoutian was held in the 5th Group of Changlinzi Forced Labor Camp, the instructor forced two criminals to beat Mr. Li during the night. Mr. Li's legs were injured from twisting, he had severe chest pain, and his head became numb. He was beaten until he passed out. On June 3, 2006, when his family members went to the Changlinzi Forced Labor Camp to visit him, he could no longer walk by himself and he had to be held up by two people. His jaw was broken, and he had great difficulty eating any food. He was also very skinny.

10. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Practitioner Mr. Guan Yue Possibly Arrested by Police from Lingshui Police Station of Dalian City

On June 2, practitioner Mr. Guan Yue from Dalian City was taken from his workplace by several police officers from the Lingshui Police Station for unknown reasons. Mr. Guan Yue worked at the Dalian Henderson Electronic Technology Ltd.

The Lingshui Police Station of Dalian City is directly linked to the deaths of two practitioners who were tortured to death. One was practitioner Ms. Chi Yulian, who died after she was force-fed there; the other was practitioner Mr. Chen Jiafu, who was sent by the Lingshui Police Station to a forced labor camp where he died due to torture.

11. [Jinshi City, Hunan Province] Practitioners Ms. Hu Xinyuan and Ms. Gong Liya Illegally Sentenced to Three and a Half Years of Imprisonment; They are Currently Appealing

12. [Zibo City, Shandong Province] Information on the Persecution of Falun Gong Practitioners from Gaoqing County over the Past Two Years

In April of last year, police from Huan Tai County of Zibo City colluded with the "610 Office" of Gaoqing County, the National Security Group, and the County Police Station to persecute practitioners in Gaoqing County. Two practitioners were sentenced to forced labor and one practitioner was taken to the brainwashing center.

13. [Yinan County, Shandong Province] Practitioners Ms. Du Yonglan and Ms. Liu Yanmei Arrested

On May 23, 2006, practitioners Ms. Du Yonglan from Jinquangou Village, Puwang Town, Yinan County in Shandong Province and Ms. Liu Yanmei from Dagou Village were distributing Falun Gong truth-clarification materials in Hutou Town of Yinan County and were illegally arrested by police from the Town Police Station and the County Police Department. They are still being held. On the same day, at about 5:00 p.m., police from the Puwang Town Police Station, the Yinan County Police Department, and the 610 Office went to ransack Ms. Du Yonglan’s home. They broke the lock on the front door and confiscated Falun Gong truth-clarification materials, the Nine Commentaries and other items. At the same time, they also ransacked Ms. Liu Yanmei’s home and confiscated truth-clarification materials.

14. [Ezhou City, Hubei Province] Mr. Ji Xietang Taken to the 610 Office Brainwashing Center

Practitioner Mr. Ji Xietang, the former Deputy Director of the Administrative Management Bureau of the Ezhou City Committee of Hubei Province, was detained, sentenced and sent to a brainwashing center, where he was tortured for steadfastly practicing Falun Gong. In May 2006, Mr. Ji went to the Ezhou City Committee to report the persecution he had experienced and rationally requested to have a job in order to support his family. In late May, the Director of the Ezhou City 610 Office, Sheng Zhangwen (male), personally led some people to Mr. Ji’s home. They arrested Mr. Ji and took him to the Hubei Province Brainwashing Center located in the Tangxun Lake area of Wuhan City.

Mr. Ji graduated from college and is now about 50 years old. He started to practice Falun Gong in 1997. He recovered from many illnesses after he started to do the Falun Gong exercises. Since 1999, he has been repeatedly tortured because he steadfastly practices Falun Gong. At the end of 1999, he went to Beijing to appeal. In January 2000, he was detained for 15 days. In March 2001, he was taken to the Lianhuashan Brainwashing Center of Ezhou City and was held there for over two months. At the end of 2002, he was held in the Ezhou City No. 1 Detention Center. Later he was sentenced to five years of imprisonment. He was released in May 2005.

15. [Hubei Province] Falun Gong Practitioner Ms. Pan Zhenghui Still Held Illegally in the Ezhou City No. 1 Detention Center

Ms. Pan Zhenghui is an elderly practitioner from Ezhou City and has been forced to leave home to avoid being arrested. She was illegally arrested by the Ezhou City 610 Office and the Xishan Police Department, under the management of the Ezhou City Police Department. She was taken back to Ezhou City from Huangshi City in Hubei Province. Ms. Pan is still being illegally held in the Ezhou City No. 1 Detention Center.

16. [Nanning City, Guangxi Province] Several Practitioners Recently Arrested

17. [Suining City, Sichuan Province] Four Practitioners Arrested

Falun Gong practitioners Ms. Zhang Kaixiu, Ms. Li Surong, Mr. Chen Zhihui, and Ms. Song Shiying were arrested when they were clarifying the truth about Falun Gong on May 31.

18. [Chongqing City] Ms. Qiu Zhumin Sentenced to Imprisonment

At the end of September 2005, a group of CCP spies and police officers illegally broke into and ransacked Chongqing City Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Qiu Zhumin’s home. They also took her to the Liziba Detention Center of Yuzhong District and held her. Later they secretly transferred her to the Yongchuan Women’s Prison and also sentenced her to three years of imprisonment.

Ms. Qiu is in her 60s and has retired from the Food Department. Her home is located in the Daping area of Yuzhong District. Her husband, Mr. Chen Tinggui, was tortured to death because he steadfastly practiced Falun Gong.

19. [Baoding City, Hebei Province] Several Practitioners Arrested by Police from Baigou Town

At about 12:00 p.m. on June 7, 2006, six practitioners were distributing Falun Gong truth-clarification materials in Baigou Town, Gaobeidian City of Hebei Province and were arrested by police from the Baigou Town Police Department.

Among the arrested practitioners, practitioner Mr. Zhang Shiyi from Xiaoying Village of Baigou Town was arrested at the Daming Market at around 10:00 a.m. on June 7. At noon, Mr. Zhang Shiyi was still being held in the Gaoqiao Police Station. His current whereabouts, however, are unknown.

20. [Sichuan Province] Supplementary Information on the Arrest of Practitioner Ms. Wang Delan from Guang’an City

On May 31, 2006, the Chief of the National Security Group of Guang’an City Police Department in Sizhuan Province, Li Qiuyun (male), led four people to break into Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Wang Delan’s home. They confiscated one copy of Zhuan Falun, one MP3 player, and four copies of truth-clarification materials. They immediately took Ms. Wang to the Wansheng Police Station of Guang’an City. She has been transferred to Guang’an City Detention Center. Ms. Wang Delan’s sister-in-law, practitioner Ms. Zhao Min, was arrested after she was reported to police when she was distributing truth-clarification materials at Xiaoxi Town of Guang’an City.

21. [Ningjin County, Hebei Province] Supplementary Information on the Arrest of Falun Gong Practitioners Including Mr. Li Hua

In the middle of April, the Chief of the National Security Group of Ningjin County in Hebei Province, Shen Jianzhong (male), "illegally arrested" practitioners Mr. Li Hua and Mr. Liang Yulei and also ransacked their home. In addition, they also arrested practitioner Mr. Yan Qiuchen, who is in his 70s. Reportedly, they confiscated a large amount of truth-clarification materials, CDs and truth-clarification discs. At the end of April, Shen Jianzhong took the practitioners to the Xingtai City Brainwashing Center.

22. [Chengdu City, Sichuan Province] Practitioners Including Ms. Guan Guozhi Arrested

The practitioners who were arrested by Jiuliti Police Station of Chengdu City in February 2006 were: Ms. Guan Guozhi (from Nan County of Hunan Province), Mr. Li Kaiyou (from Hengyang City in Hunan Province), Ms. Liu Yangzhen (from Hengyang City in Hunan Province), Ms. Hou Chunlian (from Zhaoyuan City in Shandong Province), Ms. Fan Yukun (from Changchun City), and Mr. Dai Zhengping (from Chengdu City).

23. [Yueyang City, Hunan Province] Ms. Peng Xinhua Arrested

On the morning of June 7, 2006, practitioner Ms. Peng Xinhu, in her 70s from Fengshu New Village, Yueyang City in Hunan Province, was arrested at her home by police from the Beigang Township Police Station of Yueyang City. The police were led by staff members from the Yuanqing Material Company.

25. [Xiangtan City, Hunan Province] The Baimalong Forced Labor Camp Torturing Practitioner Ms. Xu Ailian with Drugs

Ms. Xu Ailian is a Falun Gong practitioner from Xiangtan City in Hunan Province. She lost control mentally due to torture. After she was taken home by her family members, she regained her awareness. She said, "At the Baimalong Forced Labor Camp, they mixed drugs with rice. After I ate it, I had gastric bleeding for eight days."

26. [Jixi City, Heilongjiang Province] Supplementary Information on the Arrest of Practitioner Ms. Huang Xinmei

Ms. Huang Xinmei, 44, is a practitioner from Zhangxian Village, Hongqi Township, Hengshan District, Jishi City in Heilongjiang Province. At about 9:00 a.m. or 10:00 a.m. on May 30, 2006, Ms. Huang was arrested by Zhang Guiqing (male), Wang Wenxiang (male, cell phone number: 86-13206962558), and others. Later she was taken to the National Security Group of Didao District of Jixi City. She is currently being held in the Jixi City's 2nd Detention Center.

Ms. Huang Xinmei’s husband and brother went to Didao District National Security Group to ask for her release and also clarified truth to the authorities. The National Security Group stated that they knew that Falun Gong is good, but they had to follow the order from their leaders.

27. [Shijiazhuang City, Hebei Province] Ms. Qiu Liying Arrested

Practitioner Ms. Qiu Liying from Shijiazhuang City was arrested recently. At the time of her arrest, spies from the State Security Bureau of Hebei Province were present to assist with the arrest.

On May 22, 2006, police from Leqing City’s 610 Office broke into practitioner Ms. Chen Wenying’s home, arrested her and put her into Leqing City Detention Center. Since then she has been staging a hunger strike and is extremely weak. When her family members went to visit her, Ms. Chen could only leave the cell with other people supporting her by the arms.

Recently, Chen Wenying's family was not allowed to visit her. The police informed Chen Wenying’s husband by telephone that she was sentenced to 18 months. Chen Wenying was sent to the Hangzhou City Forced Labor Camp but was not accepted due to her poor health. She was later sent to Wenzhou City. Her life is in peril right now.

2. [Jilin City, Jilin Province] Zhu Yan has Become Extremely Weak from Torture

In October 2005, personnel from the Longtan District Gangyao Police Station illegally arrested practitioner Ms. Zhu Yan while she was clarifying the truth of Falun Gong to people. She was sentenced to one and a-half years of forced labor. As she persists in her belief and refused to be "reformed", Ms. Zhu was severely tortured at the Heizuizi Forced Labor Camp. Zhu Yan’s son, daughter and other family members are appealing to higher authorities, level by level, demanding Zhu Yan’s release.

On May 6, Zhu Yan’s son held a banner that reads, "Return My Mother to Me" on the road outside of the labor camp.

3. [Xinbin County, Liaoning Province] Wang Huinan Suffers from Excruciating Torture Methods at the Masanjia Forced Labor Camp

Ms. Wang Huinan from Xinbin County, Fushun City, is being held in the 1st Group of Masanjia Forced Labor Camp. There, she suffers excruciating tortures, including force-feeding, and being handcuffed and hung up for a long time. She is usually released at about 3:00 a.m. every day. This torture has been going on for over a month.

4. [Fushun City, Liaoning Province] Practitioner Mr. Li Guangwen Went Missing in April 2006 from the Benxi City Forced Labor Camp; His Whereabouts are Unknown

5. [Jilin City, Jilin Province] Persecution Account of Practitioner Wang Xin

Mr. Wang Xin is a practitioner from Erdao Township, Fengman District, Jilin City. On October 1, 2001, Wang Xin and several practitioners went to Beijing to appeal for justice for Falun Gong. He was arrested at Tiananmen Square. Wang Xin was initially sent to the Qinghe Detention Center in Beijing and later transferred to Pingtai County’s Detention Center. In the end he was sent back to Jilin City by personnel from Jilin City’s Liaison Office in Beijing. He was released after being detained for 15 days. During the detention period, personnel from the Fengman District Police Department extorted 500 Yuan from Wang Xin’s family. Personnel from the Erdao Township regime even forced Wang Xin’s work unit to fire Wang Xin.

In the fall of 2005, policeman Wang Xiaobin and others from the Baishan City Police Station arrested practitioners Ms. Li Shuzhi and Ms. Han Xiuhua from Hongqi Village, Baishan City, and sent them to the Heizuizi Forced Labor Camp in Changchun City. At first, the labor camp authority refused to accept them due to their poor health. Wang Xiaobin, however, took the practitioners to several hospitals, had them undergo physical exams and finally managed to put the practitioners into the forced labor camp.

6. [Heilongjiang Province] Daqing City Regime Allocates Special Funds for Persecuting Falun Gong - belated news -

According to a reliable source, the Daqing City, Heilongjiang Province regime allocated a special fund of 300,000 yuan in the first half of 2005 for "educating and reforming Falun Gong practitioners in forced labor camps." This amount of money was directly given to the Daqing City Forced Labor Camp officials to persecute Falun Gong.

7. [Hegang City, Heilongjiang Province] Xiangyang District Court Changed the Date to June 13, 2006 to Illegally Sentence Daqing Practitioner Liu Liping.

8. [Luobei County, Heilongjiang Province] Practitioner Liang Yinshu Arrested

Practitioner Liang Yinshu has been held in the Harbin City’s Changlinzi Forced Labor Camp for half a year.

9. [Linghai City, Liaoning Province] Practitioner Ding Shouyu and Others Arrested at Home

At 8:00 p.m. on June 5, 2006, personnel from the National Security Team and from the Yuji Police Station in Linghai County, Liaoning Province, broke into the home of practitioner Mr. Ding Shouyu. The persecutors confiscated a picture of Master Li, a copy of Zhuan Falun, an audio recorder, and 40 yuan cash. During the evening of June 6 they arrested practitioner Mr. Man Fengjun and sent him to the Masanjia Forced Labor Camp for persecution.

10. [Renqiu City, Hebei Province] Several Practitioners Including Liu Zhijie Arrested

During the evening of June 9, 2006 practitioner Mr. Liu Zhijie was followed as he was driving practitioners Mr. Wang Hai, Mr. Chen Fenglei, Ms. Ma Kaihua and Ms. Liu Linfang on his tricycle to distribute truth-clarifying materials in villages around Maozhou Town. Personnel from the town police department arrested them and attempted to force them write a statement to give up Falun Gong practice, but none of the practitioners complied. During the afternoon of June 10, the police transferred the practitioners to the Renqiu City Detention Center.

11. [Shulan City, Jilin Province] Practitioner Hou Shuxia Arrested

On the early morning of June 2, 2006, policeman Li Jiazhe and others from the National Security Group in Shulan City, Jilin Province ransacked several practitioners’ homes in Liudao Township, Shuiquliu Town. They found some Falun Gong truth-clarifying materials at practitioner Ms. Hou Shuxia’s home. Then they arrested her and took her to the Nanshan Detention Center in Shulan City.

12. [Puning City, Guangdong Province] Practitioner Mr. Wu Xiyuan Recently Arrested and Detained in the Guangzhou City Brainwashing Center

13. [Yantai City, Shandong Province] Practitioner Yu Yang Arrested, now Recently Released

On June 7, 2006, practitioner Yu Yang accompanied his child to school. On his way back, Mu Qidong led personnel from the Fushan District Police Department in Yantai City and arrested Yu Yang. He was released on June 9.

14. [Laiyang City, Shandong Province] Practitioner Jiang Shuqin Harassed

At 8:30 p.m. on April 18, 2006, eight or nine policemen including Ding Shiyu from Tuanwang Town, Laiyang City, broke into Ms. Jiang Shuqin’s house at Zhubaimiao Village, Tuanwang Town, and Mr. Cui Zhengfeng’s house at Libaimiao Village, Tuanwang Town. They confiscated Master Li’s pictures, a tape recorder and some truth-clarifying CDs. With Master’s care and their family’s help, both practitioners escaped and avoided arrest.

15. [Qingdao City, Shandong Province] Practitioner Guo Huaying Arrested and Taken to a Brainwashing Class for Torture

Practitioner Ms. Guo Huaying, 54 years old, is from Shuiji Village 2, Laixi City. At about 11:00 a.m. on May 25, 2006 several persecutors arrest Ms. Guo as she was cooking. The arrest was done by policeman Shen Tao, and personnel from the Laixi City Police Department, the 610 Office and by agents from the Longshui Road Police Station. They also searched Ms. Guo's house. A witness said that four or five policemen carried her into a car, and they also confiscated several items and brought them into the car.

On May 31, a policeman extorted Guo Huaying’s family out of 10,000 yuan. They also forced Ms. Guo’s family to accompany her to the Wangcun Brainwashing Class in Zibo City, Shandong Province.

16. [Chengdu City, Sichuan Province] Practitioner Wang Kaidi Arrested

Practitioner Ms. Wang Kaidi, 56 years old, is from Chengdu City. The police arrested her in May 2006 for making truth-clarification materials. Her whereabouts are still unknown.

17. [Suining City, Sichuan Province] The Persecution of Practitioner Hu Shicai

Mr. Hu Shicai, 52 years old, is from the No.10 Team in Fuhai Village, Hengshan Town, the Anju District, Suining City. In November 2004, the police arrested him and put him into the Yongxing Detention Center where he was forbidden to sleep for several days and nights. They forced him to stand against a wall with his arms and legs outstretched. They brutally beat him, injuring his head and legs. They also undressed him in the cold winter.

On February 22, 2006, Chuanshan District Court in Suinng City secretly sentenced Mr. Hu to five years of imprisonment without informing any of his relatives. Currently, he is being held in the No.4 Ward of the Wumaping Prison in Muchuan County, Sichuan Province (Phone number: 86-833-4652007).
