1.[Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Wuchang District Police Beat Dafa Practitioner Feng Yun into a Catatonic State
Wuchang District Dafa practitioner Feng Yun, male, probably in his 20s'to 30s', is illegally imprisoned in a detention center. According to a reliable source, Feng Yun has been beaten into a catatonic state because he refused to be brainwashed.
2.[Jilin City, Jilin Province] Please Pay Attention to the Situation of 19 Year-Old Dafa Practitioner Shi Wenbo: Having Been Arrested Five Times, His Current Whereabouts are Unknown
Jilin City Dafa practitioner Shi Wenbo, male, 19 years old, is a high school student. In early 1999, he started practicing cultivation in Falun Dafa. After July 20, 1999, he went to Beijing to safeguard Dafa three times. After being arrested, regardless of his father's beatings and scolding, and the police's threats, he was determined not to write a "guarantee statement" to give up his belief in Falun Dafa. He said, "I'd rather lose my life than give up Dafa."
On October 27, 2000, Shi Wenbo went to Beijing to safeguard Dafa for the fourth time. Police caught and brutally beat him. He escaped from the liaison-office in Beijing on November 26, and was arrested again for clarifying the truth and distributing flyers. Since then, no one has heard from him. In February and March of 2001, his family once went to look for him in Beijing, but there was no information about him. We hope all kind-hearted people will pay attention to his whereabouts. We also sternly warn the vicious people: persecuting Dafa practitioners will definitely create retributions.
3.[Jilin City, Jilin Province] Dafa Practitioner Qu Shuyun Suffers Persecution in Heizuizi Labor Camp
Qu Shuyun, female, 50 years old, is a resident of Jilin City, Jilin Province. In 1996, she obtained Dafa. When Dafa was slandered, she went to Beijing to validate Dafa four times. On October 9, 1999, she was illegally sentenced to one year in a labor camp. In the labor camp, she kept studying the Fa and doing Falun Gong exercises every day. She also hand-copied Zhuan Falun so that other practitioners who didn't have the book could read the Fa. As the guard didn't allow her to do the exercises, she often held a hunger strike to protest, and she was therefore force-fed and beaten with electric batons many times. No matter how harsh the vicious guards tortured her, her rock-solid determination in cultivating Dafa remained unaffected. However, unceasing torture caused her health to decline and eventually she fell into a coma. The guards were scared, and released her in June, 2000 and allowed her to seek medical treatment. (By then, she had been illegally held in the labor camp for 9 months.) They first demanded that her family hand in 2000 Yuan bail.
In the year 2000, she went to Beijing twice to safeguard Dafa, and was arrested on October 1 when she validated Dafa in Tiananmen Square. She was then detained in No. 3 detention center in Jilin City where she and many other Dafa practitioners held a group hunger strike to request an immediate release. Later, she was transferred and held for more than 30 days in the most vicious No. 1 detention center. She was then illegally sentenced to serve three years in Jilin Provincial Labor Camp because she didn't yield to the persecution. This January, one fellow practitioner saw her in the courtyard of the labor camp with her mouth sealed with tape by the vicious guards to prevent her from speaking. In February, when her family went to visit her, the prison guards didn't allow them to meet. Now, Qu Shuyun is held in Heizuizi Labor Camp in Jinlin Province. The labor camp doesn't permit her family members to visit her. Qu Shuyun has experienced great sufferings both physically and mentally.
4.[Beijing] The Mobster-like Police at Tuanhe Dispatch Department Inhumanly Persecute Dafa Practitioners
Beijing Tuanhe Dispatch Department is a criminal organization set up especially to unlawfully detain Dafa practitioners. Policewoman Sha is an inhuman villainess. Several thousand Dafa practitioners from all over the country who went to Beijing to validate Dafa were illegally sent to this dispatch department and received inhuman treatment.
At first, practitioners were stripped of all their clothes and made to stand in the open air. After that, they would be made to stand for a week as a punishment. Many practitioners' legs were swollen and could not recover even after 6 months. Every day, practitioners were not allowed to raise their heads while walking in and out. In summer, when the temperature reached 38 to 39 centigrade, practitioners were allowed only three minutes to do some washing, and they were not allowed to wash their underwear, so their clothes smelled terrible. Anyone who disobeyed would be punished by being forced to squat down. Many practitioners couldn't defecate for 15 or 20 days. A young lady didn't yield to the persecution, so the police shocked her with an electric baton. She screamed miserably due to the excruciating pain.
In the Beijing Xin'an Labor Camp, anyone who doesn't write a "guarantee" statement or "separation" statement will be made to stand or be deprived of sleep. Drug criminals are ordered to watch over Falun Gong practitioners. A 46-year-old practitioner, Ms. Li, was kicked by a drug criminal and injured in the ribs, which made it difficult for her to walk. Every day she was allowed to sleep for only two hours, and this situation lasted for a year. Those practitioners who refused to be brainwashed would be sent to a specially set-up intensive training division in the labor camp. A 52 year-old practitioner, Huang, held a hunger strike. The guard ordered a drug criminal to force-feed her, and he knocked out her two front teeth. Then she was sent to the intensive training division. The guard shocked her whole body with an electric baton and claimed, I'll make you suffer excruciating pain but won't cause you to die."
5.[Guan County, Shandong Province] A Female Dafa Practitioner from Qingshui Town Suffers Severe Persecution
Sun Xiuying, female, 39 years old, is a resident of Qingshui Town, Guan County, Shandong Province. In October 2000, she went to Beijing to appeal for Falun Dafa, and was escorted back to Guan County and illegally detained in jail. In January 2001, she was released from jail and sent to a brainwashing class organized by the "610 office" of the County Committee. Before the Chinese Spring Festival this year, she asked for permission to go home to see her parents and child. However, officers of the Qingshui Town government came to her home searching for Dafa materials and took her to the town government building. Taken away with her was another female practitioner, Lu Jingzhi, whose home had already been ransacked and whose husband had been sent to a labor camp. They also confiscated 2700 Yuan earned by her two children at a part time job.
Town Party secretary Li Baolin and his subordinates beat Sun Xiuying so badly that her nose was bruised and her face was swollen. Li then ordered his subordinates to pin her down on the ground and brutally beat her buttocks with rubber clubs. They deprived her of sleep and meals. They tortured Sun Xiuying this way for a day and a night, then on the next day, they sent her back to the County's brainwashing class. People could hardly recognize her. On the same day when Sun Xiuying was brutally beaten, Li Baolin also gathered 78 people who used to practice Falun Gong in the town and would not allow them to go home or to have meals. He then compelled them to curse Teacher and Dafa. Anyone who didn't comply would receive beatings and be fined 400 Yuan.
Sun Xiuying was illegally detained more than 4 months in the brainwashing class and was taken back by the town government after she refused food and water for 4 days. Sha Yuanfeng again compelled Sun Xiuying and other practitioners to curse Teacher and Dafa. Sun didn't comply, so they cuffed her hands to a pillar and beat her hands, waist and buttocks using rubber clubs. They didn't stop torturing her until she lost consciousness. Only then did they send her to the town hospital. Later, her family members took her back home.

6.[Handan City, Hebei Province] Lawless Officials' Criminal Directives
At the beginning of June, Handan City authorities passed a directive from Hebei Provincial authorities to the medium-level leaders at different departments: as Dafa practitioners from Langfang City and Qinhuangdao City went to Beijing together on May 13, and were sent back later, the city authorities stipulated that all Dafa practitioner who were arrested would have all their property confiscated.
At the beginning of July, the Beijing municipal government issued an instruction: If a Dafa practitioner making Dafa truth-telling materials is found, directly send him to a labor camp or sentence him or her to a jail term.
7.[Dehui City, Jilin Province] The Situation of Dafa Practitioners Who Were Illegally Sent To Labor Camps
Liu Diancheng: In September 1999, he went to Beijing to appeal for Falun Dafa and was illegally detained more than 50 days. His job was suspended for half a year, and his salary was withheld for 8 months. In March 2000, he was illegally detained for 15 days for distributing Dafa truth-clarifying materials, and fined 3000 Yuan. In March 2001, because he was found to have a copy of Zhuan Falun at home, he was illegally detained. Fifteen days later, he was illegally sentenced to one year in a labor camp, and hasn't been released as yet.
Sun Yue: In September 1999, he went to Beijing to appeal and was illegally detained more than 50 days. His job was suspended for half a year, and his salary was withheld for 8 months. In September 2000, he was fined 1500 Yuan for no reason. In March 2001, because he made a "Solemn Declaration" on Minghui Net, he was illegally detained. Fifteen days later, he was illegally sentenced to serve one year in Yinmahe Labor Camp, Jiutai City. He hasn't been released as yet.
Lu Qingshan: In September 1999, he went to Beijing to appeal and was illegally detained more than 50 days. He was expelled from his job, and stopped working for half a year, and his salary was withheld for 8 months. In September 2000, the local police station fined him 1500 Yuan for no reason. In March 2000, because he made a "Solemn Declaration" on ClearWisdom Net, he was illegally detained. Fifteen days later, he was sentenced to one year in a labor camp. As his physical check-up didn't meet the standard, he submitted the 2000-Yuan bail and got released. In order to be free from further persecution, he left home and wandered about.
8.[Jinan City, Shandong Province] Jinan Women's Labor Camp Brutally Tortures Dafa Practitioners
Jinan Women's Labor Camp of Jinan City, Shandong Province has illegally imprisoned over 600 Falun Gong practitioners. Among them are young teenage girl students who haven't completed their studies at school, and elderly people in their sixties and seventies. In a small cell of less than 10 square meters (about 100 square feet) 14 to 15 people are imprisoned. These practitioners were sent here by force for three year terms. They have totally lost their personal freedom.
Re-education through forced labor is actually torturing people both physically and mentally. When we were first sent in, they tried to force mind control on us. They didn't allow us to sleep, and several people would "work" on one Dafa practitioner, by threatening and deceiving him. The ruffians used extremely brutal and inhuman means to torture those Dafa practitioners of strong will who were unyielding and insisted on practicing Falun Gong exercises. They shocked practitioners with electric batons so badly that their flesh festered. They also cuffed practitioners' hands up high, and continued the torture this way for over 20 days. Dafa practitioners were tortured to the point where they lost consciousness. Anyone unable to eat would be force-fed. The guards poured water on the ground in order to prevent Dafa practitioners from sitting.
There was one division working down in the basement where over one hundred people would be shut in every day, with a daily workload of ten hours. Because of the poor ventilation, Dafa practitioners often fainted and fell to the ground while working. Most people worked making pencils. Once the job was to brush golden powder. Due to the high toxicity of the chemicals, more than 100 people suffered poisoning. Dafa practitioners with firm beliefs from the surrounding areas would be sent in for forced brainwashing whenever they were arrested. The labor camp charges 4000 Yuan for each practitioner imprisoned.
9.[Beijing] A Practitioner's Personal Understanding: Using Master's Fa-rectification Verses to Eliminate One's Own Thought Karma
One Beijing Dafa practitioner encountered a lot of interference when eliminating his thought karma. He felt the effect was not very good. When he discussed this with another practitioner, the other practitioner also had encountered the same problem. Once as she was trying to eliminate the bad things that did not belong to her original true self, she felt a great pressure from the karma and interference. It was hard to sit still; her mind was in a turmoil and she wanted to stand up. She immediately recited Master's verse: "The Fa rectifies the cosmos, the evil is completely eliminated. The Fa rectifies Heaven and Earth, immediate retribution in this lifetime." Gradually she came back to tranquility, and the interference was eliminated. Thus they enlightened: when eliminating one's own bad things, it is also good to use Master's verses.
In the following days, this Dafa practitioner followed this method every day. Once she saw three guys in black clothes flying out of her head (before this she had never seen things in other dimensions). They were just in front of her eyes, attaching to her closely and unwilling to go. She realized that this was her own karma, and then quietly recited Master's verse. After once or twice, she saw a shining white light emitting from her eyes, and penetrating the guys in black clothes. Those guys disappeared. The next day, she saw a woman in black clothes wearing glasses, looked fiendish. This practitioner felt the woman in black was like her own shadow, and was a conglomerate of her own attachments and karma. Destroying it was also more difficult than usual. After four or five times of reciting Master's verse, it was completely eliminated. Another day, she saw a massive black thing flying out of her body, dancing around. She was almost following it, and moving like it. However she realized, this was her own attachment of zealotry, its image in other dimensions. Quickly, it was again eliminated.
Through discussion, practitioners enlightened to the fact that when one's own attachment has been identified, one can directly send forth righteous thoughts to eliminate it.
10.[Anhui Province]Female Practitioners Shao Hongmei, Zhang Yongjing Kidnapped to Hefei Women's Labor Camp
Practitioner Shao Hongmei of Liu'an City, Anhui Province was deceived into going to the Xiaonanhai Police Station for a talk, but instead was sent to the Hefei Women's Labor Camp. Later, practitioner Zhang Yongjing was deceived with the same trick by Jin'an District Police Department and was sent to Hefei Women's Labor Camp. These two practitioners were both kidnapped by the police to the labor camp without any legal procedures and without the knowledge of their family members. Later Jin'an District Police Department called the two practitioners' relatives informing them of their sentence of one-year terms in labor camps.
11.[Anhui Province]Brainwashed People Warned By Retributions: Immediately Stop the Wrongdoings; Otherwise It Will be Too Late to Regret
Zhou Xia, female, a resident of Liu'an City, has become a cancer trying to destroy Dafa. She cursed Master and Dafa in the labor camp, and rampantly tried to brainwash Dafa practitioners. She was appointed as captain, cooperating with the police to arrest practitioners who are wandering outside to avoid persecution, and threatening those practitioners at home to turn in Dafa books and write separation statements. This woman got a festering sore on her foot, and it rotted, exposing the bone. Another brainwashed one is Peng Xuqin. After being released from the labor camp, she repeatedly went to practitioners' homes to spread her evil enlightenment. She has been to the homes of all practitioners she knows, and would not leave if she could not accomplish her goal. She tripped and fell in early July and fractured her wrist.
