(Clearwisdom.net) One day, I was printing some materials. When the job was nearly finished, I found that the print quality had become bad. Later, it got even worse and the printed materials couldn't be used. I sent forth righteous thoughts, as usual, to clean out the evil forces behind the printer. Actually, I had been continuously reciting the Fa-rectification verse to myself, whenever my mind was not otherwise occupied, and I also talked to the spirit of the printer. I started to print again, but the result was still not good. I knew that there must be a flaw in my thinking that had enabled the old forces of the universe. I turned off the printer and began to look within myself, but I couldn't find the problem.

At our weekly Fa study and experience-sharing meeting, a practitioner told me that she was very upset, and had encountered strong interference. Both of her husband's feet had become severely infected. (He is not a practitioner, and had developed complications stemming from blockage in the brain vessels). He couldn't walk and had needed even more care than before, so she had not done any truth clarifying for a few days because she needed to look after him.

I told her that this was the period of time in which the Fa rectifies the universe, and any interference to us is interference to Dafa. "You should no longer believe that it was because your husband had a lot of karma that he was paying back. You should use your correct state to rectify the wrong state." The fact is, we have cultivated to a certain level, and so we have the power of that level. No matter whether you use the power, the power is there. The Teacher said that we have all come from different cosmic systems, and we are representatives of those systems. If each of us can represent a cosmic system, doesn't that mean we have the power of that system? If we don't hold the right attitude toward ourselves, we can't use the power of that level as we should.

The Teacher said, "For a practitioner, one's mind-intent dictates supernormal abilities to do things. For an everyday person, one's mind-intent directs the four limbs and the sensory organs to work..." (from Lecture Nine of Zhuan Falun). When encountering an event and using the mind of an everyday person, we can only direct our hands and feet to do things that can be affected by the four limbs. But that cannot help with the interference from other dimensions. When we use the mind-intent of a different level, the power of that certain level will work according to our mind-intent. As we grow to harbor fewer and fewer concepts of the level of human beings, and as our minds become purer and purer, we can use the abilities of higher and higher levels, so we can clean out the evil forces within higher levels and larger areas. So it is more like, "The Buddha light illuminates everywhere, propriety and justice rectify and harmonize everything."

At that moment, I suddenly thought about my own problem, and seemed to understand the reason why the printer hadn't worked properly. Why had I sent righteous thoughts to clear only the evil forces behind the printer, rather than to clear all evil beings up to the level that I was at? If I didn't eliminate the evil that makes arrangements to destroy Dafa, but only eliminate the evil that actually interfered with us, this will not clean out the root of the evil. As in normal life, we should not only knock the weapon from the hands of a bad person, but also bring him to justice.

After the practitioners left, I began to think, "Use my right state to rectify all wrong states." After that, I silently recited the verse to eliminate all evil. I turned on the printer to continue the print job, and everything was fine.

This point of understanding enlightened me to another point. When practitioners from each of the districts notified their local practitioners to send forth righteous thoughts to eliminate the evil forces of the local areas, according to the situation in each district, was that not also limiting the powers of our practitioners?

I realized that the best results would be achieved by sending forth righteous thoughts according to the article, "Sending Forth Righteous Thoughts," published on Clearwisdom.net. I felt that the purer and emptier our minds were, the more effective our work would be.
